Something blue?

I was playing around with my new Forever21 nail polish today (which is amazing btw) and came upon this interesting combination...

I have seen this look on a couple of people and so I decided to try it out. It looked pretty good, so I thought to myself, why not make it my something blue!

Personal picture
I realize that I did a terrible job on my own nails, but I promise I wont be doing them for the wedding. You should see my right hand...lol

So what do yall think? Is it too hip? :D

I Did it Myself!... Sorta

One of the biggest trends that I love right now are the hair flowers. I love all kinds of hair adornments, actually, but especially hair flowers. Preferably with some feathers or something shiny attached :D

I have spent many hours on etsy, as I'm sure many of us have, searching for the perfect hair flower.

There is this pretty, little lovely... It's got the flowers and something shiny. But at the price of $64, I kept looking.

(Source)

Next up was this sassy number. Sadly, there were no feathers or shiny things so I moved on...

(Source) $36

Finally, I stumbled upon this beauty... I immediately bookmark it to save it for later.

(Source) $30

Then, as fate would have it, I happened into Hobby Lobby on a random Tuesday afternoon and found this...

This puppy was a whole $2.99! Apparently, Hobby Lobby carries a line of hair flowers and other stuff that you can put on your own headband...or in my case, an alligator clip :D

This is how it came.

Hair down... (Please excuse my lack of makeup)

Makeshift up-do :)
(haha I just noticed that bunny on my shoulder, I guess he wanted to make a cameo.)

So what do yall think??? I can't believe no one has spilled the beans on this Hobby Lobby secret yet! Or maybe they have, I just wasn't paying attention... Anyway, they have a pretty good selection of hair stuff, yall should check it out!

What are you wearing in your hair for the big day?

Special touches to the tables

One of the first things your guests will see is your table decorations. I am so in love with so many different things that I'm afraid my whole wedding is going to look mismatched :/
Maybe that should be my theme...Mismatched, beach-chic :D

I absolutely lurrrrrrveeeeee the mismatched napkin look. I have been scouring the web everywhere trying to find them for a reasonable price. Let me know if y'all find some :)

How cute would these look attached to a belly band on the menus or around the napkin?!

I have a soft spot for doilies. I don't know where I'll use them, but I'll find a way :D

Ugh, how can I resist these polka-dots.

This is my dream table.

What special touches are you doing to your tables?

The Eco-fetti Review!

Remember my post about Eco-Fetti?

I found Eco-Fetti because our venue won't allow real confetti, so we had to find some fun alternatives. So I did some googlin' and I found eco-fetti. I actually bought some on save-on-crafts.com and I ordered it up!

I got the package a couple of days later, and I have to say, I was a little disappointed. Now, don't get me wrong, it was pretty cheap for a big bag of confetti. So, if you are looking for something cheap for people to chunk at you, then this could be your answer.

It kinda looked like chopped up styrofoam, which seems kinda weird since this stuff is biodegradable.

I ordered the multi-color confetti

I didn't completely hate it, and I was willing to use it, but my mom vetoed the idea after she saw the confetti. I guess we will have to use rose petals which will cost a lot more money. Yay. :/

I guess the quest for a reasonably priced , pretty biodegradable confetti continues...

Boys wearing nice clothes

After lots of persuading and pleading, Mr. PF finally agreed to go try on suits for the wedding! Since we are having a beach wedding, I decided that we needed to
have linen or at least light colored suits to fit with the formality of it.

I am so glad we went when we did because they were having this UH-mazing sale at K&G. Get this, it was 'Buy one suit for 179.00 and get 2 free" WHAAAAT? 2 suits for free? sign me up!

We tried on a couple of different suits and finally decided on the perfect suit.

Trying to act natural.

"Let me put my sunglasses on, so I look like Miami Vice"
(Btw, the suits aren't white, they are tan! Didn't they have white suits in that movie??)

I think he likes it :D

If you have K&G in your area, I highly recommend them! They are affiliated with Mens Warehouse in some way. The staff is so helpful and I couldn't believe we got such a great deal. I mean, this suits are nice, y'all.

Was your FI excited about trying on suits or was it like pulling teeth?

To reception dress, or not to reception dress...

So, one of the big things about having a beach wedding is that its going to be hot. Hopefully not too hot, but it will at least be humid! Now, don't get me wrong, I love my wedding dress (which just came in, by the way!) but its not the most comfortable thing in the world.

I have been toying with the idea of a reception dress. I know, I know, it seems impractical and silly. You only get to wear your wedding dress once, you might as well wear all day long, right? Well, I always felt that way until I stupidly went to try on more dresses. BIG. MISTAKE.

I happened into Davids Bridal and tried on this number.

It's a Vera Wang White.

I was so surprised by the quality of these dresses! They are gorgeous.

Then, I found this dress! Its so classy and demure. But I'm not sure it goes with my beach wedding :/

(Source)

Then..... I started looking on etsy for reception dresses. That was another big mistake!
I found these amazing dresses made by AidaCoronodo.

(Source)

The only problem is, these dresses can get really pricey. As beautiful as they are, I cant really justify spending more that $200 on a reception dress.

Have any of yall debated with the idea of a reception dress? I am still undecided...
